SMITHSONIAN SUMMER CAMP 2008

And away we go! Join us in celebrating the 39th year of Summer Camp at the Smithsonian. With a wide variety of camps for all ages and interests, you’re sure to find something to boost your summer fun!

Summer camps at the Smithsonian this year offer something for everyone--including parents. Camp focuses run the gamut from traditional arts and crafts to playwriting to science to dioramas. Camp runs from Monday, June 23, through Friday, Aug. 8.

Sessions are offered for young people entering kindergarten through 9th grade in fall 2008. Sessions are one week long, and campers may register for one or more sessions. Half-day and full-day camps are offered. The full-day sessions include a supervised brown-bag lunch hour. Half-day sessions include a time for snacks. (Campers provide their own food and beverages.)

The supervised drop-off and pick-up place is the entrance of the S. Dillon Ripley Center unless otherwise noted. Campers provide their own transportation to the Mall.

The After-Camp Program runs from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

Registration for Summer Camp 2008 begins Feb. 14! To register call (202) 633-3030!

A teacher assistant program is offered for ages 15 and above.
