Voice of America Building Auditorium Wilbur J. Cohen Building 330 Independence Avenue, SW (use the entrance on C Street) The Voice of America, which first went on the air in 1942, is an international multimedia broadcasting service funded by the U.S. government through the Broadcasting Board of Governors. VOA broadcasts approximately 1,500 hours of news, information, educational, and cultural programming every week to an estimated worldwide audience of 125 million people.

VOA's main entrance is in the middle of the block between 3rd and 4th Streets.
