The Voice of America, which first went on the air in 1942, is an international multimedia broadcasting service funded by the U.S. government through the Broadcasting Board of Governors. VOA broadcasts approximately 1,500 hours of news, information, educational, and cultural programming every week to an estimated worldwide audience of 125 million people.

Exit onto 3rd Street, turn left and walk three blocks to Independence Avenue.   Turn left onto Independence.  VOA's main entrance is in the middle of the block between 3rd and 4th Streets.

(L'Enfant Plaza: Station Yellow, Green, Blue, and Orange lines) Take the 7th Street/Maryland Ave. exit and walk East to VOA's main entrance on Independence Avenue, between 3rd and 4th Streets.

Parking:
Limited on-street parking at meters and several public garages are available in the neighborhood. Please check meter carefully for hours of operation.
