Text
The Viking Age (790-1100) ended nearly a thousand years ago, but its legacy lives on. The Vikings were instrumental in the creation of many nation-states and altered the political map of Europe. Also, some of our most fundamental ideas derive from Old Norse words, including “law” and the concept of parliamentary democracy.
