Think Smart: How Your Brain Can Achieve Peak Performance
Thurs., June 18, 6:45 p.m.
Text Size Decrease Increase Share/Save

What brain-enhancing routines and principles do neuroscientists incorporate into their lives? Richard Restak’s curiosity about that led him to ask a number of them—including Nobel laureates—what they do to help their brains operate at their best. Their answers may surprise you. They may also inspire you to incorporate their suggestions into your own life.

Tonight, renowned neuroscientist Restak suggests what you can do to keep your brain functioning optimally. He discusses exercise, diet, boosts to creativity, the use of technology such as video games, and how knowledge about the brain can help maintain productivity. He also notes impediments to optimal brain function and how to overcome them.

Restak is a clinical professor of neurology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and author of 19 books on the human brain. His new book, Think Smart: A Neuroscientist’s Prescription for Improving Your Brain’s Performance (Riverhead Books), is available for signing after the program.
