Egg Tempera Painting

Egg tempera is a wonderful and luminous painting medium with great potential for present day artists as well as those interested in experiencing first-hand the painting methods employed by Michelangelo, Raphael, and other masters of their time. Students learn all the steps involved in egg tempera painting including how to safely work with dry pigments, making the egg preparation, and how to prepare traditional gesso panels that have a beautiful smooth surface.
